IO4 Team Beta Tutorial
Recommended: open this page before game day and keep the link available through the postgame coaching review.
Register the team and coach first.
Before game day, complete the team’s beta registration. Player setup is intentionally minimal: name, jersey number, and team. Player development information is only for that team’s protected coaching experience.
The game evidence keeps moving.
CAPTURE → COACH → PRACTICE → MEASURE → IMPROVE → REPEAT
IO4 closes the loop between what happened in competition, what the coach teaches in practice, and whether the athlete or team improves the next time. The coach stays in control.
Everything your team needs to begin.
Use these short resources before game day, then follow the live IO4 workflow below.
Register the team, coach, competition level, and player roster. The coach can work from a separate desktop or other device.
Secure access, halftime decision, H2 response, postgame development, and what comes next.
Before game day: coaches should review the coaching overview and the scorekeeper should complete the Scorekeeper Instructions. Use the guide for your role before the first beta game. The dedicated presentation decks can build on these same steps with actual IO4 screens.
Before the opening tip
Confirm the team and opponent, set the five players on court, charge the scoring device, verify internet access, and make sure the coach can open the protected coaching experience on their own device. One person should own Scorekeeper for the game.
Set Up
Charge tablet.
Hotspot ready.
Open IO4.
Confirm team + opponent.
Open protected coach-phone access.
Tap the Event
EVENT → WHO? → DETAIL.
WHO? shows the five on court.
Use Quick Sub to change the five.
Use UNDO when needed.
Coach Check
Open Halftime Coach.
Review the evidence.
Coach: ACCEPT or DISMISS.
Start H2.
Competition Coach
Enter final score.
Tap FINAL.
Open Competition Coach.
Decide what carries forward.
One game, one connected coaching cycle.
The coach decides what matters. IO4 preserves the evidence so the next practice and game can build on it.
Best courtside setup
Keep the game moving.
Wrong tap? Use UNDO and continue scoring.
Connection issue? Check Wi-Fi or hotspot, keep the device charged, and use the backup phone if needed.
Unsure what IO4 is showing? Do not force a coaching decision. The coach stays in control; note the issue and include it in beta feedback.
Finish the coaching handoff before feedback.
After the final score is entered and the game is marked FINAL, open Competition Coach with the coach. Review the full-game evidence, decide what should carry forward, then return here for the short beta survey.
Competition Coach opens from the protected SHARE + OPEN COMPETITION COACH → handoff in Scorekeeper after FINAL. Use that secure game link rather than a public demo page.
💬 Help us improve IO4
You’re done when the coaching loop is complete.
Game marked FINAL → Competition Coach reviewed → coach decides what carries forward → beta feedback submitted.
Thank you for helping IO4 improve with real coaching use. Beta feedback is reviewed separately from controlled technical testing.
